Open for more than 100 hours each week, the Campus Recreation Center is a hub of activity. With more than 28,000 square feet of fitness space filled with state-of-the-art equipment, there’s always room for you. If using the machines isn’t your forte, play a game of basketball with some friends in one of the two gymnasiums, or try a game of racquetball on one of the six racquetball courts. Swim some laps in our indoor pool or run some laps around our indoor track. Interested in fitness with friends? Try one of our many group fitness classes including Step-N-More, Power Cycling, Club Cardio, Yoga, Kickboxing, and much more. Rain or shine, the Rec Center has something for you.
Want to take advantage of Florida’s beautiful tropical weather? Campus Recreation’s outdoor facilities include four field complexes including football, soccer, and softball fields, 16 tennis courts, and a 1.2 mile fitness trail. Didn’t get your fix of outdoor fun yet? Visit USF’s Riverfront Park and rent a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard for a trip down the Hillsborough River. Or get some friends together for a game of horseshoes or a game of disc golf in the 18-hole disc golf course. Play some sand volleyball or take a hike on one of the hiking trails. After you’re done, sit down for a bite to eat at one of the picnic tables in a covered pavilion. Looking for more adventure? Try out the ropes course or sign up for one of the many adventure trips offered throughout the semester.
Are you interested in sports? Join one of our nearly 50 sport clubs. These clubs travel around the state and the country and compete against other schools. If you don’t want to travel or can’t devote your time to a club sport, try out an intramural sport. With more than 30 different sports and activities offered throughout the year, the IM Sports program facilitates organized leagues and tournaments for teams of friends, roommates, student organization members, and more.
